Rudy, King of Beasts, 1991 - 2004
On Sunday evening, Rudy, King of Beasts, shed his mortal coil and joined his brethren in the hallowed halls of the great warrior kings. His presence, humor, confident demeanor and occasionally wet nose will be missed by his friends and his family.
It is said that Rudy's legend would be deserving of song, parade and a bronze statue in the park. While the latter two are being worked on, here are a few words from the song. May his spirit live on in each of us.
Excerpts from Sinister Rudy (1995)
The funky world of black and white
Fades to gray within the whirlwind of a fight
Raging up and down the hall
I bet the cops sure had a ball
With you and all your rowdy friends
I knew in the back room there had to be a party
Trippin' on a mushroom,
Falling down the alleyway
Pull yourself together, man
All of you as one
The hunter and the beast
The sinner and the priest
The jester
The molester
The poet with a gun
Mister Rudy
Sinister Rudy
Won't you come in from the rain
Mister Rudy
Sinister Rudy
When will I see you again?
